In Australia the other night my area had a blackout and i drop dobs of black candle wax on lino.?
Question:I cant get them off - not even by scraping them with a knife. Any suggestions?
Answers:
Take a brown paper lunch bag and lay it over the wax and use an iron on the coolest setting that produces a little bit of heat and steam and "iron" the bag lightly. Go very easy and a little at a time as to not lift your linoleum as well. The wax should stick to the bag and lift right off the floor.
Wax can be buffed out with a cloth, but I would pick at it to remove as much as I could first.
ICE IT!! Im not kidding it works! If you find theis method is not working try using a hair dryer to melt it then wipe it away. Just dont heat it to much or it can melt your lino.
Good luck!!
