try soaking them in some cascade ,its dish washing soap for dishwashers.make a paste of it and let soak over night .it gets out all kinda stains .
CLR. It's made for calcium, lime & rust. Get it in the cleaning aisle at the store. Don't use bleach. Bleach sets a rust stain.
Depending on type of fabric, I have had success with the following:
White cottons--apply FRESH (from a lemon) lemon juice to the stain, use the back of a spoon to rub it around. Allow to sit for awhile, then rinse with cool water. Launder. DO NOT USE ANY CHLORINE BLEACH (this will set the orange stain) but when you launder, you may want to use a non-chlorine bleach. Also try a commercial product such as Whink Iron and Rust Remover, follow instructions.
White synthetics---Whink Rust and Iron Remover is a commercial product that can be used. Also peroxide (3%) dripped on the stain may work. Another solution would be straight non-sudsy, clear ammonia dripped on the stain.
Finally, plain white toothpaste, non-gel and non-blue toothpaste rubbed into the stain with the back of a spoon and then rinsed in cool water will take care of small rust and blood stains. Just be sure to rinse well before washing. And never wash a rust stain and put the article into a dryer before the stain is thoroughly removed. Otherwise the heat will set the stain.
If all else fails, take the item to a quality cleaners to see if the stain can be removed.
There is a product called IRON OUT that is used in the wash machine. Get it at Wal Mart.
I for sure would not put CLR on clothes as it may eat a hole in them, after all it is a form of acid.
This may sound strange.Take and spray some oven cleaner on the stain and wash in hot soapy water.I done this on my white uniform and it worked great.Just rub it in and launder.
Whink.
It's a liquid in a copper-colored bottle.
I buy it at WalMart.
I found this on a new website called www.corrosionconnection.com
Fabrics
If you have rust stains on fabric try using vinegar or lemon juice and salt on the stain. This can help to lighten rust stains and then use an oxi-wash on the fabric. Be sure to check before drying that the stain is gone. It is harder to remove a stain from dried fabrics than wet ones.
If vinegar or lemon juice doesn't work try using a stonger commercial rust remover such as CLR or a rust stain remover. Apply to the area with a small toothbrush.
No matter what product you use on fabric, be sure to test it first on a small area of the fabric. Some of these products will damage colored fabrics.

I hope this helps!!
