How to get rid of burnt egg smell in the kitchen?

Question:boiling eggs forgot them and they explowed

Answers:
ohhh my goodness! lol thats funny you said that, I did the same thing over memorial day weekend trying to make deviled eggs! I tried opening windows, spraying air fresheners and everything to try to get that stench out of there! That smell is terrible too, and it lingers! I wouldnt wish that on anyone lol
The one thing that truly worked for me is lighting incense though, it did smell smoky for a little while but after they were finished burning it left the house with a pleasant smell and the nasty egg odor was eliminated.

take the peel of any citrus fruit and grate it into a pot of water. let the water simmer all day (add more water as needed). i find that oranges work the best.
Light a scented candle.
Try sprinkling vanilla powder if you have it handy .
Hey I did the same with a pork chop,Wow what a smell.I washed my curtains, walls, floor, and sprayed all my cushions with vinegar. My ceiling went black from the smoke.Mess but the vinegar done the deed.I also had to wash all my what nots, that was a job.It was so strong in there it smelled bitter when you opened the door.
The best way I have found , is to put a pot with water and vinegar on the stove to boil, once boiled ,reduce the heat and allow to simmer as long as you can. This will rid any smell from your kitchen. Just remember to keep topping up the water in the pot
