How do i clean my pillows?
Question:i have one with poly-fil and another with feathers. how do i clean them?
Answers:
I don't think you can. Buy some pillow covers w/zippers on them. It'll be more sanitary.
The poly filled one can be washed in the washer. Make sure you wash two at a time, or throw in some towels, so that your washer will not be out of balance. Make sure the seams are intact, or to be sure, put them in a pillow case and pin it shut. You wouldn't want it to burst in your washer, but I wash them all of the time.
Poly-fil can go in front-load washers, or regular washer if you have a really good gentle-cycle. Can tumble dry as well. Feather pillows - not sure.
i just trow mine in the washers with bleach and soap. your best bet though is to go buy new ones they are cheap if you know where to go. i hear you should replace ur pillows every 6 months because they hold in tons of bacttaria
Anything other than feathers can go into the wash but when washing, you need two pillows for balance. Fluff them up and pop them in the dryer. I stopped buying down pillows years ago because they only can be surfaced cleaned.
i know some people put their pillows in the washing machine to wash them
I use a vacuum cleaner. Put the pillow in a bag, suck out all the air, then release it, do it several times to get the dusts out.
Best to use a good vacuum where the dust doesn't get trapped.
