A used Kirby Diamond (or Sentria) or Dyson Animal 17...which is a better buy?

I think the Dyson is a better buy, even tho you may lay out
more at the purchase, but that's it, you won't have to buy
bags or filters and they are the best vacuums I have ever
used. I used to use a Kirby, but the attachments were a
pain in the --- to put on and off. I had a Filter Queen that
was great, but the filter cones were really pricey..
check it out in consumer reports, the dyson models didn't score very well, especially considering the high prices. i have a panasonic and i love it. it was around $200.
