ant they
Vinegar will kill them. Clean all surfaces with vinegar ... They will die out eventually. Vinegar is stinky but the smell goes away after about an hour. Good luck.
take out all of ur living plants that are in your house and through them away including the plants in posts outside. Throw them all out!! clean out the pots and see if they go away. After a r or so and they are gone u can put plants back in ur house and around ur house.
Have you checked all your drains, like the bath tub?? Sometimes you can get what are called "drain flies" from standing water in your plumbing.
As long as you don't have pets in the areas you can get some regular flying insect killer and spray the trash cans and around the sink with it once a day that should take care of the problem. Also Nat's are attracted to fruits and stuff like bananas. I would try to put them in the refrigerator. I bartend and we had a problem with them around the sink, draft beer, in the restrooms, and trash cans this took care of the problem.
Us too, join the club. If I buy bananas, they're worse. We have an iguana and we bought a bag of cypress mulch for his encloseure, and they became worse too. Actually, they feed off of moisture, like in your sinks. I walked into my kitchen and they were in there soaking up water beads. On water alone they'll grow into full size in a day or two also. I've found that they don;t like lemon smelling room spray, like the can spray room deodrant in the cans. When I see them, I spray a big cloud aroound them and the fall and die, then I get out the handy dandy dust buster and suck them up and down the tiolet the go, just like in Flushed Away, ha ha ha
I hate them to though and thye're been bad here this year. (Ohio)
Somebody on here mentioned those sticky fly paper strips and I tried them and it was great for these little bugs I got from birdseed. I put them up at night and then took them down the next day and there was lots on there and none flying in the air. But those bug critters have a way of returning so I will just be ready for them the next time. I also catch them with my dustbuster. And spray too.
