Clothes - how to rectify bad smells?

Question:Well what happens if you have damaged your clothes with bad smells - i swear i have damaged my clothes using all this vinegar (i used white wine vinegar) and baking soda.

Can i rectify this all bad smells, but just using the most amount of detergent recommended on the box?

Also it would help if i split up all my clothes wouldnt it?

Im from England - Bold 2in1 or Surf plus Comfort conditioner?

Answers:
you are on the right tract surf, wash liquid ,and comfort that will have your clothes smelling great again, don't worry they will be fine.

I like Surf. Washing them will do the trick.
You could get some Ariel with the Febreeze effect. It works wonders, and then afterwards you can even spray the clothes with febreeze.
If all else fails hang them outside, even if it raining, for 24 hours and see if that has done the job. Good luck.
Whatever is on your clothes, if it is a water-based substance, then water is what you use to get it out. If it is oil or grease, then you will use an oil based product to get it out. You have used water based. Hang them out to air out for a few days, separated, then wash them in detergent, add a small amount of dish detergent to your load as well as your laundry detergent. It will work everytime.
chuck it away and buy a new one
What "bad smells" are you exactly refering to? Body odor? Cigarette smoke? Pets? Any bad smells on clothes should really be professionally steamed cleaned. Household products just won't cut it. And fabreeze really just masks the smell.
Wash the clothes in fairly small batches, so they get really thoroughly cleaned. Use a clothes cleaning product that has a strong smell, that you like the smell of. Of the two you've mentioned I know that Bold 2 in 1 has a strong smell, personally I use it and really like the smell of it.

Make sure you either tumble-dry or hang your clothes out to dry as soon as the wash has finished - if you leave your clothes in the washer they will start to smell after just an hour or so. If this happens you'll have to wash them again to get rid of the smell.

Good luck!
i think just washing your clothes again with a bit of washing powder will be fine. you probably used too much vinegar and not enough baking soda (i hope you used bicarbonate of soda and not baking powder) as that would make your clothes smell too vinegary.

if you were using the vinegar and bicarbonate of soda to get away from using conventional washing powders, then can i recommend eco balls instead? i use them and they're very good.
I am intrigued by the idea of someone splitting up all their clothes.

The mind boggles.
Don't like bold surfs ok i use daz and always lenor or comfort but i change conditnor regularly, i think you get use to the smell and can't smell it the same. Try fabreise (if that's right spelling) to get rid of smells never used it myself.
