Washing machine problem....?

Question:Everytime a cycle had finished there is water left in the conditioning section of the drawer which I have to empty before I can do another wash. The machine is not old (about 2 years) and is well maintained. Any ideas why this is happening?

Answers:
Behind where the drawer goes on theres a pipe that syphons the water away, it sounds like tis is blocked and the only way you can get to it it to remove the top lid of the washer. If you cant get to it this way im afraid its time to call out the washer repair man, but tell them that you know what the problem is then they wont go charging you for loads of other things.

What kind of machine is it?
Like front load or what?
Hi i get this sometimes so it will be interesting to see what answers you get.
I have had this problem before. Take the whole drawer out and give it a really good clean, then clean the inside of where the drawer goes. With mine I found that it was muck that was clogging it up and once I'd given it all a really good clean it was fine again.
Zeggy is probably right

The conditioner etc is pretty thick and guey stuff, and there is probably a bit coagulated somewhere in the drawer!

It can happen with washing powder too!
