Surf with conditioner. I FIND sURF VERY USEFUL.
2 seperate products will be better than one, I would have thought, expecially as they go in at different stages in the wash.
Bold 2 in 1. Personally though I use Ariel with added Febreeze effect.

I use Bold 2 in 1, (The blue one) mainly because I really like the smell of it on my clothes, and it's easier to deal with; just chuck the tablets in and you're away! (No messing about measuring out conditioner etc.)

Neither. Two separate products are going to be better than one because some items such as towels, drying up cloths etc., are far more absorbent if washed without fabric conditioner. Try it, you'll see what I mean. They will still come up nice and soft if you put them in the tumble dryer or half the time in a dryer and the other half time out on the line on a nice windy day.
The only things which need fabric conditioner are things made from synthetic materials as the fabric conditioner removes the static electricity.
We pour too many chemicals down our drains anyway.
