Answers:
Don't pay any attention to some of the idiots above that are clueless on what it takes to be a responsible dog owner. I have not tried the Oxyclean as one person suggested, but I have heard it works. What I do is get up as much of it by hand as you can (use rubber gloves and a sponge). Then I spray Resolve carpet cleaner (the foam kind) on it. Follow the directions on the can. You may need to do it twice, but it always works for me. I have light colored carpet and you cannot tell where they have been sick. I have tried the Resolve for pet stains but have found the original foam works best.
On a side note, one website I found awhile back said to use baking soda. DO NOT do that! It just made a hard spot where the baking soda sat and even the carpet cleaners had a tough time removing it.
If it's staining your carpet/rug, try using oxyclean. It works on everything.
puddles or stains?
yuck !! if its on the floor or anywhere where else ... your screwed good luck girl haha your gonna have to clean it yourself on your hands and knees with a towel ! disgusting
try bleach maybe?
Just clean it up. I honestly can't believe you jumped onto your computer to ask this question while dog vomit is stinking up your home and probably staining some type of flooring. Gross!
"Hartz" Pet Stain & Odor Remover works wonders. I have used it to clean up wine stains and stains that are older on my carpet. If there is an odor, it will take care of that too. You can find it in the pet aisle of your grocery store.
Hello!
I have a toy poodle and when he vomits I always use 409, it takes it out right away. Then I just use a paper towel w/ dish detergent and a dry one. It takes out the smell and the stain! Good luck and hope your doggy is doing okay.
I agree with the answer get a pet stain remover. I have two dogs I use oda ban it is good stuff. It will kill the smell too. Or simple green will work too
you'll need some glycerine and cotton and milk. Use cotton balls to apply the glycerine to the stain. Then put the milk in the sun until rotten and apply the chunks on the stain with a cloth. (no joke). Leave it until it's almost dry then vacuum and wash it out with a damp cloth. Then you'll need to clean the spot with a good carpet cleaner. Good luck.
I have a cat and I keep a emergancy quick carpet cleaner around the house at all times. I also have kids. I use OXY spot & Stain Remover from Scotchgard. I sugest you go to the store and buy a bottle in a trigger spray. It's grate to have on hand just in case.
