How do I get the dingy grey dirty look out of the bottom of my white tub?
Question:My tub is clean, but still looks dingy on the bottom. I've tried bleach and a bunch of other cleaners... Just wondering if anybody has any ideas I haven't thought of yet...
Answers:
Try using Soft Scrub combined with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. When I cleaned houses for a living, that usually did the trick pretty well.
It probably needs to be refinished
CLR is good for getting off soap scum or lime away, easy off bam...try that...good luck
try some bleached water...
Depends on the cause of the discoloration. If the finish has been worn off, it may not be repairable. Assuming that is not the problem, use some baking soda and a good stiff scrub brush and scrub it by hand, then rinse well.
Try a mixture of baking soda and vinegar, if it's really bad then you'll need to add some elbow grease. Also use and old pair of stockings rolled into a ball, stockings are great because they cut through soap scum really well and do not scratch. Do not use brillo or sos pads because that will leave scratch marks.
soak the tub with bleach water, than keep clean with a cleaner, tuba nd tile works great so does scrubbing bubbles...also to help prevent it from happening again Lowe's has a tub polish "tub polish" its in a blue and white tin and it is a pink polisher...wrks great they use it on all the model homes to get that shine.
