Garment Steam Cleaner Vs Dry Clean?

Question:If I were to buy garment steam cleaner, does it mean that I can do dry clean at home? Is it the same thing? What does dry cleaner do with the clothes - do they also steam clean?

Answers:
Dry cleaning uses chemicals to clean clothes in place of the water. Steam cleaning is a different process using water that could actually damage certain fabrics marked Dry Clean Only.

Dry cleaning uses very special chemicals to clean clothing in. There are "dry cleaning" products that you can buy to use at home. Those work in the dryer. I don't consider that to be really clean, but you can try. Although the name doesn't sound like it, dry cleaning does get the clothing wet.
But you can try a product made to use at home in the dryer. I haven't used them. Steaming is good for wrinkles, not sure how clean it is going to get them.
Dry cleaning does not get your clothes wet.At your local store they have a product that is sealed in a bag with chemicals and you throw it in along with your clothing in the dryer.
Steam cleaning is pretty much for wrinkles but does offer a very slight clean only.
stay with your dry cleaners it is worth what little you pay them
Steam is the same as water, and would damage or shrink some fabrics. Dry cleaning is done with chemicals. You can buy products (Dryell) so that you can dry clean at home. I don't know if it works as well, but will save you money. Steaming clothes works really quite well when you need to get out tough wrinkles. Good luck.
