Iron problem.?
Question:Can anyone please tell me how to remove the brown stains that is on the ironing side of my iron? Can I use ordinary dish detergents?

I have used WD40. Spray on cleaning towel or rag, then wipe iron.
there is a specific cream you can buy at the supermarket that takes it off easy as. don't know about the dish detergent but if it works go with it. don't put the whole iron in the sink though that could cause problems!
okay, you should use a metal spatula to remove it... turn on the iron and scrub the spatula to remove the stains on it hope it helps
Set the iron on the lowest linen setting and iron a damp terry cloth towel. Cut down on the use of spray starch. Do not use anything metal to scrape it with. You will damage the sole plate. Forget the dish detergent, also.
