Another name for FlyLady Control Journal?
Question:I am starting the FlyLady system again and have started a control journal. I have a cover sheet on the outside of the binder saying "Mom's Control Journal". But I don't like calling it a control journal. The word "control" to me has a bad connotation and so I am hoping that someone can help me come up with another name for my book. It is supposed to have daily and weekly routines, important papers, phone numbers etc...I'll probably also have a section for the school year when the kids bring home important papers from school that I always tend to lose. I'll probably also include a calendar etc... I can see why it is called a "Control Journal" because it helps you to take better control over your affairs, but again I don't like the name. Any suggestions?

HA HA - I put 'Dee's Sanity Journal' on the front of mine - with a really funky picture of my family. My daughter's face looks like one of those dogs where they enlarge the nose and pull the camera out. It's hilarious. And I smile whenever I see it.

I call mine my household journal because it has everything in it to maintain my household. Some of my "fly sisters" call theirs by their name -- i.e. Sally's Journal. It doesn't really matter what you call it, just as long as it works for you and you follow it. Good luck on Flying! It really works.
Instead of naming it, find a great picture of your whole family and have it printed to slip into the cover. YOU know what the journal is for anyway, and that photo will make you smile every time you see it.
I've done FlyLady a couple times and fallen off the "wagon." I loved the way the house looked, but I sure got tired of all the emails! LOL Mostly now I need to keep my sink shiny and prep stuff the night before... Other than that I'm pretty happy.

I love the flylady site, you can subscribe/unsubscribe at any time with no complaints or discussion. The emails can just be ignored or deleted, so don't worry about having to read each one. The Flylady wouldn't want you to clutter up your inbox with things you're never going to read. Dump 'em all - there's a new one coming the next day/week!
