How do you clean up a rat glue trap off the floor?

Question:Hey I can't seem to clean off a rat glue trap that has fallen of the floor. I have tried OxyDeep followed by massive scrubbing with a damp towel followed by vaccuming and nothing seems to be working. I've already hired a carpet crew and they could do nothing about it. Please help.

There is a solvant that you can buy, its call goo gone. It is made to remove glues, gum and sticky stuff from almost everything! I have used it so many times. I went ahead and looked it up on the net just to make sure it is safe for carpets, and here is what I copied of of the web site (gogone.com):

Goo Gone

For all those gooey, sticky, gummy, greasy cleaning problems. Removes chewing gum, grease, tar stickers, labels, tape residue, oil, blood, lipstick and mascara, shoe polish, crayon, bumper stickers. Works on carpets, upholstery, clothing, wood, and cement.
Available in: 1 oz. (item GG89), 4 oz. (item GG44), 8 oz. (item GG12), 32 oz. (item GZ92), 128 oz. (item GG01), 55 gal. drum (item GG55)

Give it a try, can't hurt more than your carpet is already!
