If the furniture is new cleaning instructions should be printed on a tag either underneath the cushion area of the sofa or underneath the furniture itself. In my showroom we scotch guard all of our fabric upholstered pieces this forms a thin barrier that repels particles and causes liquids to bead up when they come in contact with the barrier. Most suede fabrics are micro-fiber which usually only require periodic cleaning (once a month), and are designed to resist stains and other particles. Hope it helps :)
I have a micro-suede couch and I use dry baking soda to remove stains. There was a blood spot on it and I rubbed the baking soda into it and it seemed to absorb the stain. Then I brushed it away and vacuumed it. Stain gone! I also heard that cornmeal might work but, I have never tried it. I don't know if this method will work for old dirt but, you can give it a try. After that you may want to keep a sheet or some other sort of cover over the furniture when the animals are going to be on it. You can always remove the cover if company is coming over. They also must have some kind of commercial suede cleaning products for sale if that doesn't work for you but, always remember that the chemicals aren't good for humans or animals. Make sure the room is well ventilated while you are using them :) good luck..
Take silver duck tape make a band around your hand with the sticky side out and patt around wherever the dogs have been. this will get the dog hair off of the suede. If there are soiling, then use a sponge, soapy warm water, and do not scrub, just get a little damp with a cloth and then take a sponge or a dry cloth and start pressing firmly on the effected area. You may have to do this several times to get the soiling out, but scrubbing hard back and forth or in circles most of the time will just make it worse and the soiling look larger.
Scotch Guard it (helps repel the stains )
and then I use a liquid (fabric friendly) cleaner like Rosenthals to spot clean, dirty paw prints...
Brush and Vacuum the hairy beasts with a shop vac...it really helps on keeping the hair off the furniture.
