Why do i get patches of dust on my clothes after i take them out of the washing machine?

Question:and how do i stop it from happening?

Answers:
If you are using a powdered detergent, it could be that it's not dissolving and this could be the "dust" on your clothes. Change to a liquid detergent and it won't happen again. I hope this helps!

When they come out of the washing machine it doesn't matter. When your clothes are shook around for thirty minutes they are going to produce lint-not dust. It will collect in the lint trap when you dry them (that is what it is there for).
Are you sure it's not lint? When was the last time you cleaned out the lint trap on your washer? That's a must after at least every other load.
It may mean clothes had alot of lint on them when you put you clothes in the washer. Your dryer will take care of it
LOL YOU IS FUNNY AS HELL YOU DONT JUST GET A NEW ONE
As the clothes is agitated in the washing machine, loose strands of cloth fiber from all your clothes float to the surface of the water. When the water drains from the washer's tub, this accumulated lint from the water's surface is laid like a sheet over your wet clothes resting at the bottom of the tub. The spin cycle helps the set the lint into the fabric of your clothes, and when you remove your clothes you're left with spots of this dust, as you called it, all over your laundry.

There's no way to stop this process as it is the result of fabric breaking down and wearing out with age, but you can make the lint less noticable by washing only clothes of the same color together in a load... that way the lint will all be the same color as your clothing. Also try drying all dryer-safe clothes in an electric dryer... the lint will be brushed loose by the revolving action of the dryer and other clothes brushing together, and the loose lint will be sucked into the dryer's exhaust filter.
Mine does the same thing I put them in the dryer and that usually takes off the lint. I find out that the older the clothes more lint.
hi
