The screw in my laundry machine keeps coming out even though i screw it in really tight. swooshes a little the
Question:screw it in really tight. It will wash for awhile but then it stops because the screw comes out and the spinner stops. any ideas on what to do.
Answers:
try removing the screw and putting thread lock sealant on screw and reinstall and allow to dry before using. you can get thread lock at wal-mart, hardware stores, and auto stores like autozone, pepboys, or advance auto
Try loctite and a lock washer.
Loctite it like a glue that you put on the screw before you screw it in and when it dries it basically glues the screw to the hole.
A lock washer is also a good option. It prevents screws and bolts from backing out once it is tight.
I personally would use the lock washer before using the loctite or any adhesive like this because if the screw ever has to be removed(for machine maintainance) it will be more difficult.
You can get these at most walmarts and pretty much all hardware stores.
take out the screw, put a little super glue on the screw then put it back in. When the glue dries screw will never come out again.
