My dad thinks if you leave the bathroom door open.?
Question:it will air out the bathroom and prevent mold from growing in like the wet sink or shower. is this true?
Answers:
The more air, the better. Also investing in an exhaust fan will help too.
Yes. Especially if there are no windows or fans. Another way to prevent mold would be to wipe down the shower and walls after use with a dry towel.
to an extent yes. because if you have taken a hot shower and then left the bathroom all steamed up and closed the door after exiting, it would take much longer for all that moisture to evaoprate thus it would excelerate mold growth.
Of course when you are IN the bathroom, please do close, and lock the door :) Another benifit to having the door open when nobody is in the bathroom ist hat you can tell that it is empty and thus don't have to knock and wait for a timid voice onthe other side . i always am embarassed when I"m going potty and someone knowcks ont he door and I am always timid and squeeky when i reply :p
Anyway sorry, I'm rambling. I'l collect my two points now. :)
to some degree it can be true. Having ventilation will help prevent mold, because it will dry the area faster.
yes if you dont have vents in the b-room,you really heed some kind of exaust fan in your bathroom, the one room that has the most steam,it will cause mold and rot, evey b-room needs an escape for steem.so leave the door open!!!!!
Yes, but for privacy, get an exhaust fan. They are not very expensive, get one that will work in the size of your bathroom. Just leaving the door open is not enough to get out all of the dampness.
no you need proper ventilation in the bathroom to prevent mold buildup keeping the door open is not enough
