How do i wash a leather bag with a cloth interior as bought it 2nd hand and its a bit stinky!washing machine?

you dont wash it take it to a dry cleaner or a lether shop,they do have leather cleaner,make it smell new,have inside dry cleaned,but please dont wash it it will not be pretty !!!!!
You shouldn't put it in the washing machine. Buy some Febreze and spray the inside liberally after you have used a vacuum on the inside. Clean the outside of the bag with leather cleaner. You may have to reapply the Febreze a few times.
hi go to a shoe repair shop they sell leather cleaner--it is oval shaped like the shoe polishes..it comes in like 3 colors..you could try like a walmart or kmart shoe section too..its only a couple of dollars ..i use this on my boots..for the inside try a perfume you have around or even like frebreeze and let it ai dry,,do not wash it in a sink or washing machine it will destroy it..good luck ..
washing machine too drastic, i fear! to rid interior smell i suggest bicarbonate of soda, obtainable from supermarket or chemist. sprinkle a good amount in bag and keep closed. not sure how long for, try few days at first. this will absorb the smell. remove and then, perhaps put in some cottonwool with aromatherapy oil on it. shut bag and leave a while. another thought; what about Odour Eaters put in bag 4 a few days to absorb smell (not tried this myself). a little Vaseline rubbed into the leather should restore its shine or perhaps shoe leather restorer spray.
