Is an excessive ammount of lint supposed to come out the dryer?

Question:

Answers:
No and maybe.

No as the metal screen should stop it. Maybe as it never stops all of it. My older dryer is full of lint.

have you cleaned out the lint tray lately? that may be why.
Depends upon when you last cleaned it.
Sometimes, but it depends on two things.
1. The type pf materials that you are drying. Towels will leave a lot of lint at times.
2. If you follow the habit of cleaning out your lint catcher as you take out the cloths that you have just dried, there might not be as much lint next time.
new clothes will shed more lint
I clean the lent out of the dryer every time I have put a load to dry in it. Depending on what type of clothing you put in the dryer It will give off more or less lent.
