How do I clean my small metal beauty tools?

Question:I would like to clean and sanitize my tweezers, nail clippers, etc. I thought rubbing alcohol would work but it didn't do the job. Some of the nail clippers are really old and have junk on them, plus that gross dirty metal smell. What should I use to clean them?

Answers:
I use an old toothbrush and toothpaste, not gel, and lightly scrub. I also use this on all my jewelry, the good and the cheap.

boil them in water and baking soda :) that's it :)
if the finish has worn off it is best to replace them. rubbing alcohol will kill most germs but the tools must be socked then scrub ed for the best results with alcohol
