Is there anything that can get a crayon stain out of clothing?

Question:A red crayon went into the wash with my clothes and dyed many things. Does anyone know of a treatment for crayon stains??

Answers:
Place the stained surface down on a pad of paper towels and spray with WD-40, let stand a few minutes, turn over and spray the other side. Again, let sit for a few minutes. Apply dishwashing detergent and work into the stained area, replacing the toweling as it absorbs the stain. Wash in the hottest water for the fabric you are working with, using your regular laundry detergent and all-fabric bleach.

if it's not a delicate fabric, try hairspray and rub with the dull side of a knife or your finger nail. be sure to put a cloth under the stain to absorb the dye. you may have to do this more than once. don't rub too hard or it will take out the color.

You can also try to iron them out. Use a paper bag or mailing paper. Put it on the ironing board, place down the clothing and put another piece of paper on top. Iron so the heat melts the color again and draws it out into the paper. Replace the paper as needed. You may need to place something on the inside of the grament too, depending on how you have the clothing on the board.

Good luck
