How do you soften denim material?

Question:I have a pair of very stiff Levis, and I want to make them softer to the skin. What can I do?

Answers:
If you haven't already, try fabric softener when you wash them. Turn your jeans inside out when you wash and, if you can, wash them multiple times-don't use detergent each time but do use the fabric softener. Epsom salts or even regular salt will soften fabric too. Tennis balls added to the dryer when you dry them. Also, I've heard that sandpaper works well-time consuming but could be good.

fabric conditioner
Add some liquid fabric softener to the rinse..=)
Use fabric softener.
A good fabric softener in the wash and a dryer sheet in the dryer. If your hanging the up to dry, then they are gonna stay stiff and scratchy.
