Answers:
A non-scented airspray, then drive around for the next few days with the air off and the windows open.
Vinager, frebreeze air effects for the air, freebreeze regular for the seats.
it evaporates in time...try water and soap cause the carpet probably had scotchguard applied at the factory
Leave the doors open to air out! Try the powdered carpet freshner!!
Put a few charcoal briquettes in a brown sandwich bag and leave it open, place near the gas spill. Leave it there for a few days, and the coal absorbs the odors. It worked for Me a few years ago when I didn't put the lid on tight for the lawn mower gas can!
Use Zep Big Orange. It will neutralize petroleum odors.

bounce works wonders for any smells, especially in a car.
get some sheets of bounce and put them in your car in different places and it should help, soaks up the smell, works well with cigarette smell too
Good old soap and water and time. Sorry to have to tell you that.
Leave the windows down if you can
I would certainly avoid the use of a cigarette, match, lighter, or any source of combustion within the vehicle. Ventilate as much as you can to encourage evaporation. it was proabbly soaked into fabric or flowing so it may take considerable time to completely go away. I would follow the charcoal suggestion provided by another person as well.
