How can I get the smell of Cigarette smoke out of my new purse?
Question:It's a very soft leather (not suede).
Is there a way to remove the smell without damaging the leather?
Answers:
Do not use anything liquid like Fabreeze to remove the odor or you will wind up with a water mark that is more difficult to remove than the smoke smell. You have several options but I would treat the entire purse by putting it into a box with a lid and a plastic container filled with either activated charcoal or baking soda leaving it for several days and checking to see if the odor is gone. Since neither is in contact directly with the leather, either method will not damage the leather.
Why have you been blowing smoke into your new purse

you have to but a deodorizer in you bag .i put a glade air freshener in my bag and it's so small no one else can see it
If you would'nt smoke those cancer stixs then your expensive purse would not be ruined!
one temporary solution would be to try orange peelings. my aunt was a smoker and she used this method. it worked.
I would take backing soda and put half a cup in it and then shake it. I'd for get about if for a couple of days and then empty the backing soda out of it. (Backing soda gets rid of smoke smells.)
