Shrinkage question??

Question:I put something in the dryer and it shrank which was good but when i wash it again if i put it in the dryer will it shrink more or does fabric only shrink the initial drying time?

Answers:
Most fabrics will only shrink the once.

It will shrink again!
It depends on the fabric. Generally, the first time it dries, it will shrink the most. It may shrink some more, but not as much. When I buy a cotton top from Wal-Mart, I can count on it shrinking quite a bit. If I buy one from Landsend, where the fabric is already shrunk, there's hardly any shrinking; if any at all.
