The best way tosoften jeanswhen i wash them?
Question:after i wash & dry my denim jeans they becomevery hard & stiff
Answers:
Add fabric softner to the rinse cycle
nice warm water wash slow cycle cold rinse with snuggle liquid then into the dryer on a low cycle till dry with a bounce laundry sheet
it may not be the comfortablest, but if you wear them for a day, doing plenty of walking, this should unstiffen them. With at lest 2 days worth of wear they will become more comfortable. Try taking them out of the dryer when they are SLIGHTLY wet and put them on. this will help with your problem,
Rinse them twice to get any detergent residue out of them. Turn them inside out before washing and after the rinse cycle roll them up and stick them in the freezer overnoght. When they thaw out, they will be softer than any fabric softner can do and they won't smell like girls clothes.
put 2 cups of white distilled vinegar in the rinse cycle (my mom used to do this many years ago)...works better with well water that is not too hard, though
you may have hard water. Any aquarium shop will have little droplet bottles to soften the hard chemicals in water. This will help your soap to rinse better as well.
Also, tumble dry jeans with a fabric softener. If you hang dry, those bad boys will stand up on their own while you jump in them.
Go to the chemist or food store and buy some Epsom salts. This is a natural ingredient with a variety of uses. But it is good for softening water. Put a couple of Tablespoons in the washing machine when you wash jeans. Dry on line, not in Dryer. Good Luck!
