Water bottle question?
Question:i have one of those nalgene water bottles, but for some reason it smells weird. i've tried soaking it with dish washing detergent, but it didn't help. is there some sort of home remedy that will get rid of the odor? thanks.

I've always used a couple of drops of bleach in the wash water.

try a solution of water and baking soda and let it sit over night.
Don't drink out of it! its probably getting old and its time to get a new one!
How to get odors out of plastic containers:
Fill the container with very hot water, drop in two Efferdent tablets, and let them sit overnight. Then wash as usual with detergent.

Fill with warm water and add a little dry mustard - 1/2 teaspoon is plenty for an average size bottle. Let soak for an hour or so and then wash.
