What's caused my favourite jumpers to come out of the washing machine crinkled?!?!?

Question:I washed 2 of my favourite jumpers 2 days ago, then hung them out to dry yesterday. There were a couple of showers of rain while they were out. When I unpegged them, they'd both gone all creased and crinkled - what did I do wrong? Thanks in advance from a novice bachelor!

It might be the temp you are using to wash them. Wash them on a 40ºc wash, turn them inside out when washing, this also help´s to keep their colour. Also when you spin them make sure it´s not on extra spin, this will make them crinkled. Hope this help´s you out, PS. Depending on the wool, I think hand washing might be a better idea.Once you have washed them, lay them on a towel. this will take most of the water out. Then use another towel. place the jumper´s on the towel, and gently roll the towel up. Leave like this for 1/2 hr. then hang them on hanger´s ,outside this help´s to keep their shape

shake them out before you hang them. a good breeze will also keep them from wrinkling. I would rewash, shake them out, and then hang in the breeze.
when you wash jumpers do them by hand then give them a little spin just to get the access water out of them then put them on coat hangers to dry or you can drip dry
If you pack too many clothes in a load at one time, it'll make them come out all wrinkled. If you only had the two pair in there (unless they are quite large and do fill up the machine too tight), it could also be the fact that you hung them to dry. I don't like my clothes hung on a line, though I know many do. Try using fabric softener when you wash them before hanging out. This will also help! Good luck! :)
you answered the question yourself, do not wash jumpers in a washing machine, do by hand.
You probably had the temperature on too high, on the washing machine. You could try drying them over a clothes horse, then ironing them with a COOL iron. I think they may be beyond repair, though.

I always wash woollen or delicate things on 30degrees, other clothes on 40
usually wool crinkles if you washed it on too high a temp. Woollens should only go on a delicate wash.
Hi what were the jumpers made out of and what cycle did you wash them on ?
All of these things can influence how the fabric reacts!
Did you use fabric softener? This helps to stop wrinkles.I don't think the rain made them wrinkle!
Try reading the care label or hand wash and rinse in the machine and just give a short spin.
Most machines have a woollen cycle ,I use this to wash machine washable jumpers, otherwise I hand wash, rinse, lay the jumper on a bath towel and gently roll up the towel to remove the excess water, dry as normal.
Good luck.
maybe they're just not washable!
