Does anybody have any fab tips on what to use on wooden floor whilst mopping to help prevent streaks??
Question:I've tried everything from stardrops, fairy liquid, all purpose cleaner, disinfectant, boiling water to even very minute amounts of bleach but I always end up with streaks. It's driving me mad so if anybody has any suggestions they would be much appreciated!! Thanks in advance xx

Use a flat mop with a removeable/washable pad like orange glows wood cleaning system (trying to think of something that you could find in your area) also their floor cleaner in the trigger pump is pretty good, however the floor wax cleaner in the squeeze bottle is not.please NO oil soap that is crazy. I have my own cleaning company..who ever says use that, has nver cleaned for a living...no mops either, mops carry germs and do not clean also still carry the dirt you clean from last time.with the removeable pads you can wash it each time...and its clean, also pledge has a good brand thats out.
I think you should go see a shrink..you obviously have OCD!!!

Murphy's oil soap...DO NOT use any bleach on hardwood floors, will turn it white and may remove the finish off the floor.
You may also have permanent scratches on your floor from harsh chemicals. Unfortunately if you do you may have to sand down and refinish.
So far both the Orange Glo Wood Floor Cleaner and Pledge Wood Floor Cleaner have been streak free for me. I found that Murphy's left tons of streaks.
I clean offices and house over 20 years experience. When mopping wooden floors I would dilute whatever cleaner you decide on. Also ring out the mop as much as you can when mopping. Try to keep has much air stirring as possible. Also I would use luke warm water not hot water when mopping.
DO NOT USE MURPHYS OIL ON THE FLOORS, who ever thought of that was crazy and obviously doesnt have wooden floors, i use 1/2 water 1/2 rubbing alcohol with a damp cloth mop works strreak free everytime...
this may not be the effort you want especially if it is a large area but this is what i do on my tiled floor that does exactly the same.
you can either mop and then when still wet use either paper towels or a towel kind of cloth and rub all over this will work, or i use two cloths on my hands and knees, 1 for washing and 1 for wiping, i know it may not be the easiest way but i find it is the only way that works the idea is that you are rubbing the streaks out before they arrive, i just use washing up liquid in the water, good luck, at least its free to try
Swifter makes a product you might like to try but I use Murphy's Oil soap on my hard wood floors.
