Black clothes: how do you get white fluff/fibres off them easily?
Question:My black clothes always end up with a lot of white threads/fluff/fibres on them... somehow. Any tips on getting rid of them easily? I know of using sellotape but surely there's another way?
Answers:
I take an cheap disposable razor and "shave" the fabric. Takes those fuzz-balls right off! Then in the future, I would wash the clothes wrong side out, and only with dark colors.
lint brush-wash inside out too.
hard try not to wash them with white clothes :)
I would recommend a lint roller ( which may be your sellotape?). Next-how is the white fibre coming from? Are you washing your black clothes with whites ?
Scotch Tape will take the fluff off easily and quickly in a pinch. A lint roller is better if you have one.
roll tape backwards onto your hand and stroke sweater or there is an item called a sweater stone which works wonderfully.. or use a desposable razor and shave off the bumps.
Take a wet sponge and wring it out real good, now gently go over the clothing with the sponge and collect it all together and remove. You still might have to use the masking tape for the rest. before you wash you black clothes Let the washer run on a rinse cycle add 1/2 cup of vinegar to clean the washer, and see if that helps.
