How to get wax off the clothing?

Question:I have spilled a candle wax over a pair of cotton jogging trousers. Any idea how to get it off without it being a sticky smugled mess and stains?

Answers:
freezer then pick it off

If you can fit them in your freezer, do that..wait for a bit...take them out and chip off the wax ...then pre-treat the spot , and wash.
id go with tempest, put it in the freezer for a while, crack it up, and pick off teh pieces
Use a hot iron and kitchen roll....
place brown wrapping paper over the stain and iron over it
get a hot iron and some kitchen towel or brown paper and the heat will lift the wax and soak it up ,make sure not to burn the material.
Place the stained area between two old towels that you don't need, then dry iron on the highest setting. It should melt the wax, which will be absorbed by the towels. Good luck!
Use brown parchement paper or grocery sack and an iron.
Place clothing on ironing board.
Cover wax with brown paper.
Place hot iron on paper and watch the paper pick up the melted wax. When paper is saturated, replace with fresh paper until all wax is out of the fabric.

Good Luck.
Lay your trousers on a flat surface, place a sheet of ordinary paper on top, and iron the paper - the wax willl melt and adhere to the paper.

You wil need to keep lifting off the paper and moving it to make sure you don't iron the wax back in. Repeat this until all wax is off the garment and all over the paper which will start to look translucent.
Depends on the colour of the wax.

If it is white or ivory then a warm iron over some brown paper should do it.

Same applies to coloured wax in respect of removing bulk.
However, you may be left with a colour residue.

As most wax is paraffin based then a clean cloth soaked in paraffin may well achieve the dsired result.

If it was highly coloured then i am afraid that you may be left with colour evidence of the spill.
I always use ice and it freezes it. Should come right off. Good Luck
place the wax part on a old towel or wash cloth, place paper bag on the other side and iron on that paper...the hot iron will cause the wax to completly melt and go to the other peice of material (old towel)...you could freeze it, but that doesnt get it all off and can actually tear the fabric while you are trying to pick peices off.melting it is much better.
you can either put in the freezer and wait about an hour then pick it off or get some greaseproof paper. iron on a med heat and the wax should melt onto the paper and just lift off
put in the freezer and pick off when set hard. Whats left over put bloting paper on both sides and iron (the iron dosen't need to be too hot), it will remove the rest.
Get some clean brown paper, put it over the wax and using a medium hot iron, iron over the paper, the wax will melt onto the paper. Move the paper to a clean piece and repeat until the wax has gone
Freezer for a while then pick wax off.
This also works for chewing/bubble gum.
