Shut hot water off of washer?
Question:How do I shut off the hot water on my washing machine? Details please. All I see are two pipes coming out from the back.
Answers:
there should be two shut off knobs (similar to the water facets outside) these are located behind your washer not on the washer and should be a type of panel that two handles and a hole for the water to drain from the washer. one of the knobs should be black and one should be red (hot)
the other way is standard water supply on a sink or bath tub
hot/left and cold/right.
Really hope this helps u.
FOLLOW THE HOT WATER PIPE LOOKING FOR FOR THE VALVE---ONCE LOCATED---ASK SOMEBODY WHO KNOWS BASIC PLUMBING IF IT CAN BE SAFELY BE CLOSED---IT COULD BE "FROZEN" AND, OFTEN IS THE CASE,IF YOU "FORCE-IT"---OH WELL BETTER,THEN,THAT YOU CALL FOR A PERSON LIKE A FRIEND OF MINE NAMED "NOAH", A PLUMBER BY TRADE !
turn washer on touch pipes is the one on left side,if thats the one you hit bingo...good luck.ed
does it have a little triangular shaped thing in the center? mine too and that's where the control is- but I do not dare touch it for fear of breaking it! feels pretty "secure" are you worried that hot water is getting in the washer or being wasted? here's a link to an alarm you can install your self to prevent water damage- it is pricey! Good luck

There should be shut off knobs where the water hoses go into the wall
I guess the 1st thing I need to know is why do you need to shut the hot water off? Is there a leak or problem? Second thing: Do you have a "washer box" at the rear of the washing machine? A washer box is recessed into the wall, has 2 valves inside, and the drain for the washer. It's where the hot and cold lines from the washing machine connect. If you have one of these, let me know (I'll give you an email address to send the info to). If you don't have a washer box, do you have 2 separate shut-off valves at the back of the washer, your washer supply lines would run to these 2 valves. Email me what you see at the back, and I'll tell you how to go about turning the hot water off. My email address is keyboard.king@yahoo.com (don't forget the "period" between keyboard and king)
Best solution would be to disconnect the hot water completely if you are not interested in using it.
the left pipe is,or should be the hot water pipe.shut that one off.
