use ronson lighter fluid a little at a time so as not to spread it,use plenty clothes soften it and try to extricate it by pulling on the material do only little piece at a time to stop it from spreading
try ice then maybe some kind of degreaser that you might want to test in a hidden area in case it harms carpet
