Yes there are a couple of ways, you can heat your oven to 250 for about 5 to 10 minutes, turn it off & use dawn degreaser & water to wipe over it, then repeat the top & reheat the oven & presto! Chemical free! Also use baking soda, however I find dawn works better.
They do carry fume free stuff now.. I think Easy off is one of them. Also when you get done cleaning, trying vinegar and cool water mixture to wipe down and gets all the smell out.. Try using cream of tartar n vinegar as a paste will help clean it also.. Good Luck Cleaning.. !
If you will turn your oven and let it heat for about 10 minutes. Turn it off and place a shallow pan..like a broiler pan or sheet pan with about an inch of vinegar in it. Let it sit over night. In the morning take the pan out and the oven can be wiped out easily.
Put a heatproof bowl with a lemon cut in half cover in water.
Heat oven (180 degrees) for 30 minutes
Turn off Oven
Cover in soapy water (i use a spray bottle with 2 parts detergant to 4 parts water)
Wipe over should come clean easily.
For cacked on grease and grim use lemon juice and Bicarb. Add a bit of elbow grease.
Yes there are a couple of ways to clean an oven. I use to clean for the military when the families moved out of housing. I don't like cleaning with the sprays and there is no such thing as a slef cleaning oven. I have a straight razor blade on hand at all times when cleaning an oven- brillo pads and Bar keepers Friend. If I know some one will be looking into my oven I wipe it down with windex and it shines.
