Charcoal. But the other half of that is to vacuum out the coils under your refrigerator to make the condensor work more efficiently and to make the refrigerator less prone to mildew problems. It should be cleaned out monthly for regular homes...weekly if you have dogs or cats.
charcoal; also, keep a box of baking soda in the ref. all the time for odor and you may eliminate the problem of mold.
