I don't think you should tackle this repair, it may sound simple putting a belt on, but in reality you have to remove the back panel,drum unit and heater assembly. Not a bad job in itself, but you also have to remove quite a few wires which are tucked away and difficult to see where they came from, so if one comes off and you have no idea where it went you could end up fusing the electrics. To be honest you'd be wiser to get an engineer out who knows what he's doing.
