Is it safe to do this?

Question:I heard on the radio that the best way to clean your computer key board is by washing it in the dish washer, letting it sit for a few days afterwards and then it would be ok to use.
If this is ok would it also be ok to clean C.D's and DVD's in the dishwasher as well?
Has anyone ever done this before? If so let me know how it worked out.

Answers:
yes, u should take a bath like that 2

LOL - No...

Try a vacuum and 99% alcohol swab outside.
i would NOT suggest any of that there is specific cleaner for all of those. there is spray air for the keyboard and solution and cleaning pad combo for dvds and cds
you can find them all @ wal mart circut city best buy etc.
C.D.'s and DVD's will get messed up cause of the water and the steam so the little rays will get destroyed so dont even try it
Oh bloody hell
Don't put your keyboard in the dishwasher
Get a can of air and spray the dust out
Then get a soft cloth , get it damp, and wipe the keyboard down.
Your computer should be off
Use a soft cloth sprayed with windex for your CD's
Works great
Good luck
It's not safe. The keyboard won't work and you could hurt yourself. What you should do is turn your keyboard upside down and bang out the dust. You could also buy that air in a can and clean in between the keys that way.
