How can i prevent my clothes from fading so much? after 2-3 washes they're already losing a lot of their color
Question:turning them inside out helps a little bit, was wondering if there was a better way.
Answers:
Use a better detergent (like Tide) and cold water. Keep turning them inside out and hanging to dry will help, too.
use colder water, the colder the better.
don't put too much detergent, you might be putting more than you need to wash your clothes..and if they're colored, wash them with cold water
wash on cold and hang dry! the dryer frys the cloths, and the hot water isnt good for cloths unless there extremely dirty!
ask your mom
try different washing soap! that might help!
don't bleach them....
where are they from cuz places like H&M use really cheap dyes

Try washing your clothes in cold water that will help a lot.
Don't wash it with warm and hot water. Use a guard color detergent.
Wash everything in cold water
yep. there is
yeah the cold water is best for colors.. and use a good brand of soap that use's less color fade chemicals.
or as tanitaxo said... Ask your mom. lol
Dry cleaning. This usually isn't practical for most people.
Make sure your laundry detergent doesn't have bleach in it.
turn them inside out (that helps)
do not put to much detergent
use colder water
or...
use your hands to wash them
first put it in cold water use hand soap
second QUICKLY WASH THEM the longer they are in soapy or detergenty water the more color they fade
do that to all of the clothes that fade
I find that washing colored clothes in cold water unless greasy, hang them to dry (in a shady place) instead of putting them in the dryer really prolongs the fading. The sun also helps fade clothes. I've put some of mines on hangers and hung them on the rod in the shower overnight to dry. Make a make shift clothes line if you don't have somehwere.
Good luck.
okay. well I'm sure if you tried a certain washing soap it'll work. Go to the store and read the back of every washing soap. I'm sure you'll find the right one sooner or later. Also wash ur clothes in cold water.
Wash new clothings in 1 cup vinegar (any cheap kind) and detergent, rinse and spin dry. Use softener if required. Turn clothes inside-out and hang to dry. Use of vinegar with every washing helps to keep colors alive. Works fine for me!
Don't over-agitate. Pretreat stains, then turn inside out. Sort by color and weight. Use cold water and the minimum amount of a liquid detergent. Powders can have fillers like peanut shells that grind the surface of fabrics. Your water may have large amounts of chlorine. If so, washing in the evening may help, since the chemicals are added to the water around 4am. Don't use chlorine bleach and only use color-safe bleach in small amounts for light colors if really necessary. Soak if clothes are very dirty instead of agitating longer. Use a minimum of fabric softener. Hang to dry or use the lowest heat and remove before they're baked. Isolate red items, no matter how innocent they appear! They can't be trusted. Obey the tags.
some of the detergents have bleach in them. Cold water seems to keep the color longer. However years ago the dye was different, who knows what china is using for dye. I mean I've purchased two pair of shoes made in china and the blue and black got all over my feet. On the other hand I bought a pair of black slacks made in china and I've hand washed those slacks more than a dozen times and the black is still coming out of them. It's almost as though it's an outward color and is not being absorbed by the clothing or shoes. I also remember years ago when I was wearing a brown trenchcoat in California, a few months later the under collar was still chocolate brown and the entire garment had faded from the sun beating down on it.
My sister has a water softener, and her clothes always look new. If you don't want to get one, adding some borax to the wash will soften the water.
Have u tried wanking over your clothes ? I find that usually helps ...
Definitely get the special washing powder or liquid for colours, it helps.
The worst kind of clothing to do this, Ive found, is Nike!! I love their stuff but it fades like mad!!
all the answer are good ones...less drying them...cold water...all that but maybe you should also try not mixing colors and blacks together...yes they don't run but i'm thinking dark colors should go together to prevent running of colors and fading.
try using some laundry products from melaleuca.com
i use alot of products from this company and i love it.
keeps my clothes lovely..lol..usually stays the way i bought it and keeps my old clothes lookin great as well.
Most of the products are concentrated..so if you do try it..read directions..lol.

awww u seem to be ina pickle with ya laundery lol.!but as i see ppl are saying wash ya clothes inside out, yep thats wot id say, but also using a non biological soap powder that contains no bleaching agents in it , hope this is helpful for you, good luck !!
Wow, plenty of good answers already!
Another thing that would help - use delicate cycle or handwash. and always hang dry - over something like a bed - flip it over on both sides after a couple hours. Don't hang on a string line or hanger - it'll put a shape on your garments that you won't be pleased with.
You also can buy color safe detergent.
