If the oil is not coloured - then it's just a simple oil, it should come off with your dishwasher liquid. Put some on the sponge and soak it in water, squeeze it to make foam, then use the foam on the stains - just rub it in, then leave it for a few minutes, then wash away with clear water. I will not reccomend it though if the sofa is brightly coloured. It may wash away the dye. In this case you should use upholstery cleaner - can buy it from any supermarket.
