Bicarbonate of soda. Wet the area, sprinkle it on, rub into the carpet and leave to dry then vacuum or brush it up. Should remove it. I live in england and have all sorts of cleaning products available, but use good old fashioned bicarb all the time.
chuck tea on the rest of the carpet, hope this helps!
Baking soda and soap and water. Mix a little B.soda with a bit of water and scrub the stain. Then use a soapy rag to wipe that. Rinse the rag, rewet it and wipe it again.
pour on some bicarb of soda then add some vinega, the frothing action should take the stain out of the carpet then just rinse with warm water. To dry it fold a thick towel put it over the wet patch and stand on it til all the water is absobed by the towel.
put an insurance claim in, let them get it out or get you a new carpet ! i would, and have
