How do I get rid of new water bottle smell?
Question:Hello,I bought a new water bottle.I washed it many times but there is still a plastic bottle smell. And the taste of the water is disgusting.
Any ways or methods to get rid of the smell? Thanks

Squeeze in a 1/4 cup of lemon juice and fill with warm water. let it sit overnight. I would not use the bleach as suggested by another poster because of the residual odor left in the bottle.
Hot soapy water and a little bleach. Wash well and rinse thoroughly. That is how we would clean the water dispenser at work.
Baking soda and water. Fill with water, add one tablespoon baking soda. Let it sit overnight, rinse well.
if it still smells maybe it is a cheap one and not safe to drink from. a drop of peppermint oil ( the food type not the perfume type) in with the water set over night.
