Indesit W123S Washing Machine wont spin or drain!?
Question:Please help me, my washing machine wont spin or drain.
Last night I managed to open the door and get the clothes out, most of the water I managed to get in a basin.
the motor is still working however.
what should I do next.

Check the pump isn't stuck. I had the same problem and it was a piece of string stuck in the pump.its got a thing like a fan and it was round that. there should be a panel you can open but be careful as more water will come out as you unscrew the cap. hope that makes sense. Oh and check the drain pipes are clear, that could be the problem too.
indesits sometimes have a fault on the circuit boards, mine blew up! you might need to get an enginner out to look at it, but if you need to replace it, be warned that hotpoint now use indesit circuit boards and the fault still exists
Check that the hose at the back hasn't kinked as that can sometimes cause a machine to stop working & is really easy to rectify.
Failing that, get some towels out and check the filter is clear, Once that's done you're looking at checking the pump, which if it's easily accessible is not a hard job (check your manual for further details).

if the machinehas been used a lot and is a few years old the brushes in motor may have worn ,it would wash for a while but not spin, the brushes cost only a few pounds so a reputable engineer should not charge much as it would take only 15 mins 2 fix so don't get ripped off
It sounds like your pump has gone, it costs around £50 - £60 to get fixed.
It wasn't the same washing machine as yours, but my old one used to do this all the time. First check the filter, usually located at the bottom of the washing machine at the front. As it is not draining, lots of water will come out. Just collect it all in a bowl or something and then check there is nothing stuck in it. If not, I would check the waste pipe that comes out of the back of the washing machine that connects to the pipes under the sink, and check that hasn't got blocked. Try taking off the washing machine competely and blowing it to see if anything comes out. Other than that, im not sure. Good luck
