Tea pots- the porcelain kind with a spout?

Question:Oh my god, I clean my tea pot eveyday- last night i saw black pieces in the tea. Seems there is a build up of some kind in there. Impossible to get to. I have tried dishwasher detergent soak, baking soda and vinegar. polident. boiling water. Pieces are still coming out!
Anyone else have this problem- is it time for another pot and what the heck is that stuff?

Answers:
It could be the porcelain is worn out from the use of the pot. Is the spout build up on the inside? It might be time for a new tea pot.

If it is coming from the tea pot, soak it in bleach.

If it is the kettle, boil straight vinegar. Be careful with your nose and eyes because boiled vinegar smell is irritating. Clean the kettle like this once a week. Be sure to swish it out several times before boiling water for tea, or anything else.

The chunks are likely calcium or lime deposits. Happens all the time. Cleaning might break a hole through the base of the kettle. Then it is time for a new one. Nothing to really worry about. Cheers!
