a) use a quality laundry powder with enzymes and optical brighteners... such as OMO
b) soak in nappy san every so often if the colours are greying off... there is even a colour safe solution available
c) seperate your whites from your coloured items when washing to reduce colour transfer

you can buy small sachets of glow white for delicates and under wear as well as for lace nets now its found in the washing powder isle or at the drycleaners xx

ACDO Glo.white. This is a wool, cotton and nylon whitener. Good Luck.
The SUN, Soak your white´s in cold water, rub in some good old fashioned soap bar soap. Natural Soap. Leaving your white´s free from water & with the saop on, Say 1/2 hr should be enough, this help´s the soap do it´s work. Now back to the cold water rinse a little, Next add more soap, but this time leave the soap on & piop into your washing machine on a 40ºc normal wash. Add your normal washing powder,now hang your whites outside in the sun,. The sun will bleach your whites whiter than white the natural way

Oxy Clean is a great product as it doesn't harm colors or whites and helps brighten both.
Tide w/ Bleach Alternative works great for colors and whites! Smells good too!
Lemon juice and natural sunlight. Best done on a warm hot day. If that fails try soaking in Aerial overnight. Did this with a 70 year old christening gown which had really yellowed and it came up like new.
i use a scoop of vanish in mine and wash my whites hotter than other loads and this seems to bring them up well.
vanish oxy clean most supermarkets sell it 1,or 2 scoops in the drum wash with usual powder white and bright.enjoy
