What is the best way to clean a burnt pot ?
Question:i made ramen for my son and i forgot i was cooking it . it burned on the bottom and it is all balck and very hard to scrub off . anyone know an easier way or best way to clean this pot and get the burn marks off?

soak it in white vinegar
Soak it.. And try some oven cleaner..
If it is a stainless steel pot, I use oven cleaner
I have found that spraying it with oven cleaner and leaving it for a hour or so can make it easier. Sometimes will need to do it again though, if it is really burnt.
you can try boiling vinegar in it.it will loosen up the black...and then scrub it with a metal scruber.
Uh, I wouldn't really recommend using oven cleaner in a pot that I'm cooking food it. The stuff will leach into the metal, and the will potentially leach into food, while your cooking it...even after you have taken dish soap and it looks clean.
Try cutting a lemon in half and sprinkle with salt. Use it as a scrubber.
Throw it away.
put it on the stove with about 2 inches of watre and boil it for a few minutes and it will make it lot easier to come off
soak it in hot water overnight woth some dishwashing liquid.
cover the bottom with salt add water and set back on stove let the water boil it will come right off
Check out this website. It looks like it has a several step process that would work better than anything I could tell you. I usually just soak mine overnight, or dump it in the garbage.(I've only had to do that once though! :D)

Put it back on the burner with water in it and let it boil. You should be able to clean it better when the water has gotten into it. Then you put baking soda in it after you have cleaned the noodles out of it. Take a rag and rub the baking soda into the burnt pot. If this doesn't work then use a Magic eraser on it.
sos pads. chore boy has tough scrubbies too but they don't have soap on them.
Cover the bottom with ammonia and then put some very hot water in it. Let it sit overnight and then use steel wool (SOS pads) to get it clean. I'm an absent-minded cook so I've used this often.
