How to make a homemade concoction of "Fabreeze"?
Question:It's to eliminate odors from fabrics by spraying with this solution and letting it dry.
Answers:
2 cups fabric softener
2 cups baking soda
4 cups warm water
OR
1 cup water
1 cup vodka
Mix and Spray. The Fabric Softener solution smells great, but you have to put up with the baking soda clogging.
The Vodka solution, gets rid of odors wonderfully.
Febreeze is crap so why the hell would you want an imitation? if something smells that bad you need to clean it .Not just mask it.
water and vanilla extract works fantastic to eliminate odors
water and rubbing alcohol, might work. I know it helps thing stay fresh smelling. Or if it is washable and the smell isnt coming out try adding some vinegar to the load.
Febreeze is really unhealthy for anyone to breathe in, but if you really want to do something about the bad odours in your house, may I suggest you clean the offensive items? But, truly, vodka would work miracles. No water needed, just straight vodka. It works wonders on mold, the icky stuff you get in between the shower tiles.. pretty much everything really :)
