Cigarette smell?
Question:I need to get the cigarette smell out of my bathroom by tomorrow have any idea's for me?
Answers:
Wash the walls, ceiling, floor, counter tops, cabinets, tiles, mirrors, carpets, fan, curtains, towels, etc. Use a good cleaner, and make sure you go over it by rinsing. Just painting over things will clear it up for about a week, then the smoke will bleed through again.
Quit.
Hello Proud Momma. Try burning an ordinary candle in the bathroom.I found out that the carbon created by the burning candle absorbs smells. It might absorb the cigarette smell. Good Luck!
you could just, not smoke.
Wash every surface with vinegar and water. Then pour some into a dish and leave it there until morning.
walmart sells a few different things i've seen...one is smoke cover spray in that department, another is odor away (i think that's what it's called) its in a very small bottle for when you go number two in the potty to put some of it in the water and the odor goes away- i have never used the products, but there still on the shelf so i assume they work! good luck
The residue smell is from the oils permiating porous surfaces, i.e. adhering to the walls and window coverings, if any.
If the smell is slight, use the Febreze air fresher, it works well, spray in direction of walls and spray Febreze on the window coverings.
What I would try first is to just clean the bathroom well. Sink, toliet, tub/shower. The odor from cleaning products may be enough to mask it.
Now, what are you doing smoking in the bathroom when you obviously should not be? If you are old enough to think it cool to smoke, then you are old enough to take responsibilty for your actions. So if you get caught, well... hate if for ya!
Wash down everything. If it is carpeted sprinkle baking soda or baby powder then vacuum. Spray febreez on any cloth.
clean the bathroom...I meant wash the walls, clean everything with something like pine-sol or a fresh scent and the smell should fade out...
Wash the wall with some nice smelling laundry detergent with a splash of bleach. (Make sure that they are compatible...some are not) Next, wash any curtains including shower curtain. Wash any windows TWICE!! Then, after you are all through with that, try to quit and enjoy your fresh smelling bathroom.!
Remove all the towels and throw rugs and wash them add a cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle. While those are washing wash the wall and floor with a mixtuer of 1 cup of white vinegar and a gallon of water. If there is still a lingering odor place a bowl of vinegar in the room then close the door and let it set over night or as long as possible. The vinegar smell will fade as stuff dries.
Wash any curtains in the room, take any towels that are hanging in the room to the laundry, you may want to wipe down the walls with Mr. Clean or Pine Sol to get rid of any odor that may have stuck to the paint. Once clean, spray room well with OdoBan, Febreeze, Oust, Neutra Air.

You'll think it's crazy, but go to the Pet section in the grocery store and find some of that Arm and Hammer Cat Litter Baking Soda! I smoke in our apartment and just a sprinkle of that stuff in the carpet and no more smoke smell! (^_^)
It's cheap too, only like $2.50 a box!
