ALL CLAD care?
Question:I have a set of ALL CLAD pots & pans that were very, very expensive. How do I care for them? Ok to put in dishwasher? I fried something in the fry pan & now it has a yellowish stain on it. How do I get it off? I've used a soft scrub pad that is especially for pans so they do't get scratched up. Used Bon Ami too...help! How can I keep them nice?
Answers:
Nice, I wish I'd chosen All Clad. NEVER put them in the dishwasher. Try some vinegar. If that doesn't work, try making a baking soda and water paste and using it with an old toothbrush, it cleans my stove everytime!
never put them in the dish washer and go to lowes and but a bottle of the cleaner
Wow, you do have some very nice pots and pans. These pans are excellent conductors of heat, so you really need to only use medium heat or " simmer" when cooking. I suspect you used heat that was too high. Keep them nice by washing and drying by hand. Let them cool first. . Go to a store that sells cookware and they will help you find a product to remove the stain.
I wouldn't put your new pots & pans in the dishwasher. The heat is hard on the handles, which may cause them to break off some day. Buy some "Soft Scrub" & use that to remove stains off the bottom of your pans with a green Scotch Brite scrubber. There's a product called Bar Keeper's Helper that may work on the bottoms of your pots & pans also. You'll have to read the can before buying.

Caring for your All-Clad Stainless Steel Cookware
Basic Care and Cleaning:
Before you use your All-Clad Stainless for the first time, wash it thoroughly in hot soapy water with a sponge or dishcloth. Rinse it in hot water and dry thoroughly to prevent spotting.
Too much to copy, go to web site and you will get everything you need to know.
Well, here's the thing. They're tools to be used for a purpose, not metal sculptures to be admired. If you're concerned about how your cookware looks, rather than how it performs, you probably shouldn't be cooking.
